Voicemeeter is a program that is available for free on Windows that can very quickly improve your sound. Voicemeeter is a virtual audio mixing console that manages your inputs and outputs during live performance (I/O). There are many helpful guides for setting up Voicemeeter available on YouTube. You can also refer to their official Voicemeeter manual available on their website. Voicemeeter can be used to filter out background noise, improve or manipulate your voice quality, and apply more complicated effects (such as reverb or pitch shifting) with the installation of extra (VST) plugins found online. 

Loopback is a popular MacOS alternative to Voicemeeter.
